What is Stress?
Stress is how your body reacts when you face challenges or feel overwhelmed. It’s a natural response that triggers a rush of hormones to help you handle tough situations. While this reaction can be useful in short bursts, long-term stress can be harmful.
The Impact of Unmanaged Stress
When stress doesn’t go away, it can lead to health issues like heart problems and weaken your immune system. It can also affect your mood, making you feel anxious, depressed, or irritable, and it can strain your relationships. Recognizing the impact of stress is the first step in finding ways to manage it and improve your overall well-being.

Manage Stress Through Therapy
Traditional Talk Therapy: Talking about your stress with a therapist provides a safe space to explore your feelings and thoughts. Through conversation, you can identify the sources of your stress, understand how it affects you, and develop coping strategies. Talk therapy also helps you gain insight into your emotional responses and learn new ways to manage and reduce stress.
Art Therapy: Art therapy uses creative expression to help you process and release stress. By drawing, painting, or engaging in other artistic activities, you can express feelings that might be hard to put into words. This form of therapy can help you explore emotions, reduce anxiety, and gain a sense of relaxation and control. The creative process can also provide a constructive way to manage stress and improve your overall emotional well-being.
Both approaches - either individually or in combination - offer valuable ways to address stress, helping you find relief and develop resilience.

Individual Psychotherapy (virtual): This is an online/virtual (video) appointment for either new or returning clients who wish to book a one-to-one Psychotherapy/Art Therapy session with me. A standard 50-minute session is $160.00.
NOTE: This appointment type is only for individuals who are seeking therapy for themselves. If you are seeking therapy for someone else (e.g. you are a parent/guardian seeking therapy service for someone under your care/guardianship. such as a child, adolescent or vulnerable adult) you must contact me directly to book.
