Hi, I’m Karen — Registered Psychotherapist & Registered Art Therapist
Curious, patient, open, reflective, and supportive
Whether you're an adult seeking individual therapy or a community organization looking for tailored mental wellness programs, I work with you to meet your unique needs, values and available resources. My approach is flexible, and integrative, grounded in the belief that psychotherapy can support healing, insight, and resilience.
I bring a grounded, human presence to therapy - showing up as myself, and meeting you where you are. Sessions tend to feel conversational and organic rather than highly structured, with space for reflection, creativity, and quiet when words aren’t the right fit.
Together, we’ll work collaboratively to process emotions, build self-awareness, and develop coping strategies that support change.
How I Can Support You
Individual Psychotherapy & Art Therapy for Adults
In-person in North York. Online across Ontario.
If you’re struggling with anxiety, overthinking, or feeling stuck in your head, you might find yourself avoiding things, replaying conversations, or constantly second-guessing yourself — even when part of you knows you’re doing your best.
In therapy, we’ll explore what’s fueling these patterns and work on practical ways to shift them. You’ll learn how to quiet your inner critic, feel more in control of your thoughts, and respond to yourself with more self-compassion and clarity. Together, we’ll focus on helping you reconnect with your needs, your values, and a more authentic version of you.
Whether you prefer to meet in-person or online, I’m here to support you.

What is art therapy?
Creative processes can help support emotional healing and self-understanding.
Art therapy (or art psychotherapy) is a mental health approach that combines creative processes with psychotherapy. It involves incorporating art materials and artmaking (and sometimes other creative means) to help individuals express, explore, and work through their feelings, thoughts, and experiences in a supportive therapeutic relationship.
Try a Session Before You Commit
A one-time session at 50% off to help you decide if we’re the right fit.
Even after a free consultation, it can be hard to know if therapy will feel right. That’s why I offer a one-time trial session at a reduced rate, so you can experience my approach before committing. Your comfort matters, and I want to support you in making the right choice for your care.

Frequently Asked Questions
I have a space in North York for in-person sessions, and I can see adults anywhere in Ontario virtually. Online sessions make it easy to access psychotherapy and art therapy from the comfort of your own space.
Yes. I work exclusively with adults, providing psychotherapy and art therapy to support people navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationships, grief, chronic health concerns, and other emotional or life challenges.
Psychotherapy focuses on talking through thoughts, emotions, and patterns with the support of a trained therapist. Art therapy is facilitated by therapists with Master's-level graduate training in art therapy and the therapeutic use of art. It combines verbal psychotherapy with creative expression, using art materials to help explore and process feelings and experiences. Some people prefer one approach, while others benefit from an integrative combination of both.
Not at all. Art therapy is about using creative processes to explore thoughts and feelings, not creating “art” for an audience. You don’t need prior experience or talent—what matters is your personal expression and reflection in a safe therapeutic space.
Many extended health insurance plans cover services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist. Because I am a Registered Psychotherapist, sessions with me—whether or not they include art therapy—may be eligible for reimbursement under your plan. Coverage varies by provider, so it’s best to check directly with your plan.
